Guess Closing Price website provides cash prizes in newest resource for traders and investors to compete and show who is good at predicting closing prices, who is really good, and who is not. Open architecture allows spectators to see and learn what the best traders are predicting each day.

Edmond, Oklahoma (PRWEB) August 26, 2008 — Many people claim to be good at predicting stock prices. Now there is a free and unbiased resource for the best to prove themselves. And for many traders and investors, this unique site provides a resource for them to see who is worth listening to and what they are predicting.

You don’t have to look hard to find people who claim to know which way a stock is headed. But how does an average investor know which ones are really good and worth listening to? Guess Closing Price is announcing a new and free internet based resource to address that problem.
The Guess Closing Price website provides an internet based stock contest designed for two types of users that are commonly referred to as “Players” and “Spectators”. Players are the users who enter the competition and try to guess what price stocks are going to close at each day. Meanwhile, the “Spectators” are users who are there to see which players do well and what the best players are predicting.

Each player is allowed to enter guesses for up to 10 stocks per day. The players can enter or modify their guesses at anytime up until 3 hours before the stock market closes. The players receive points based upon how close their guess was, how early it was posted, and how many competitors were in each game. The points accumulate into a “score” that is based on the most recent 30 days of trading and the company provides cash prizes to the top 3 players each month.

The initial competition is opened to American stocks that are traded on the NYSE, AMEX, and NASDAQ. Traders can enter stocks from those exchanges into the games by an automated “suggestion box” and voting system.

According to David Gaddis, President of Guess Closing Price, their stock competition differs from other on-line stock market competitions in two key areas. “First, our players and contests are not based on buying obscure stocks that others didn’t know about. Our players are involved with the common stocks that everyday traders are buying and selling today. Second, we don’t try to hide their picks from the world until it’s too late to get on board. Spectators can come to the site at anytime and see what the experts are predicting for that day.”

The company believes this contest goes beyond a game of simple cash awards, and is focused on creating added benefits for the users. Some initial participants in the contests report that their real life trading improves significantly, as they watch others, learn from their mistakes, become more focused on closing prices, and adjust to the realities that prevail in their chosen stocks.
